We are a relatively new business based in Perthshire, creating celebration cakes for all occasions. Our chef, Paul Newman, has worked as an Executive Chef at many prestigious hotels around the world, from The Palace in Sun City, South Africa, to The Caledonian Hilton in Edinburgh. Paul is going back to his roots, where as a young teenager he started his career in the kitchen, creating wedding cakes from his mother's home in London. Paul enjoys working with sugar paste and chocolate, although his favourite material is traditional Royal Icing. His wife, Becky will assist Paul in the kitchen and is the friendly person on the end of the phone for all enquiries.
With regard to styles and flavours - the sky, your imagination and budget is the limit! We have done carrot cakes, espresso chocolate cakes, citrus passion fruit cakes, traditional fruit cakes, gluten-free cakes, lemon and vanilla Madeira cakes. If you have a particular flavour in mind, please let us know. We can make traditional birthday cakes, novelty cakes, cupcakes and tiered wedding cakes. All we need to know is how many people you would like to serve and what ideas you have in mind. We can match our icing to the colour or theme of your celebration - just bring us a swatch of material or a mood board with your ideas and we can work with you to create the perfect cake.
We use our own home-made jams, made with fruits grown locally at the Mains of Murthly Farm whenever possible. We use our own grade A free range eggs, and try to source local, Scottish or British produce wherever we can in order to achieve the best flavours, freshest ingredients and support local producers.
